Simply put, Qumulex Rules give you the ability to configure various triggers within our system to execute an action or actions.
The first release will allow you to trigger notifications such as Email or SMS. In the future the function of rules will expand well beyond the function of a notifications tool. When creating a rule you can stack a number of Triggers using "if, then" statements and "and, or" paramaters.
For example: IF I get a status of CrossLine on my system THEN I want an email.
The breadth and depth of what can trigger a notification can vary widely. These can be linked to schedules, limited to certain places, filtered to only happen if multiple events occur at the same time, and if the event happens for a certain number of seconds consistently, just to name a few.
